The book treats the draconic chart as the chart of the soul: the layer of the birth chart that describes intention rather than personality. It starts with the lunar nodes, the axis the whole system hangs on, and builds from there to the nodal horoscope, the meaning of the North Node through the signs, and the way a draconic chart changes a synastry reading between two people.
María's method always reads the draconic chart together with the tropical chart, never in isolation. The tropical chart shows how a life looks from the outside; the draconic chart shows what that life is for. The book teaches the comparison itself, with worked charts rather than abstract theory.
Among people with draconic contacts there is a shared scent; they recognize each other. It is common to find strong connections between draconic charts in those relationships felt as inevitable, in which the people involved identify with each other from the very first moment, as if they had known each other in the past and were meeting again.
Who María Blaquier is
María Blaquier is an astrologer and educator with more than 25 years of practice, and the author of Astrología Tradicional. She has taught draconic astrology to hundreds of students in Spanish, and her interpretation method powers every reading on this site.
